Prolonging schools is President Obama's plan
There wasn't really much wisdom put into the idea of tossing money advances at American schools. This is not what they need to make for a better educational experience. An education reform is the answer according to Obama who spoke on "Today's" "Education Nation" to Matt Lauer. The audience that Obama was hoping to get to was the stay-at-home moms and dads. He said that instructors need to be more responsible for the schooling of students which means extending the schools year.Article resource - President Obama wants your children to stay in school longer. The issue will not get better with some extra cash"When you check out the statistics," President Obama told "Today," it's not hard to see the cash now approach hasn't made a difference. Spending per pupil has gone up in the last 20 years although a result per pupil has gone down. The president did point out that money makes a difference in some schools, for instance those without the funding to provide up-to-date textbooks. However, the cash pales in comparison to the need for education reform.Good instructors that teach lengthierThe president hopes to have an schooling reform. This reform will mean there is less waste of time in schools. Instructors have to shape up if they aren't protected by unions anymore. President Obama told Lauer that American children spend less time on average than kids in "most other nations." He did not say how much for a longer time he wanted to add to the yr although he did mention something about an extra month. If United States of America teachers were more effective then it would not be as much of a problem that students weren't in school as long however that isn't the case. The program called 'Race to the Top'The Obama administration's ongoing "Race to the Top" initiative, which rewards schools that show the greatest commitment to education reform, will distribute $4 billion in funding. Educational facilities that need money will not have the "status quo in which one-third of kids are dropping out." This originated from Obama. Teachers Unions are going to have to change. They'll have to let educators be evaluated more strictly. Proper instructor training, hiring the best and brightest teachers and a commitment to ongoing teacher education are all key parts of "Race to the Top.". Parental involvement is what is most needed to aid children to become successful in schools. Fostering good study habits and showing kids they care are vital tasks for which parents must be responsible.Find more information on this subject MSNBC today.msnbc.msn.com/id/39378576/ns/today-parenting/ More on "Race to the Top" youtube.com/watch?v=VNbDv0zPBV4
